🏍️ 2RUNNER — Rider’s FAQ

Your most common questions answered, straight and simple. 2RUNNER was built for two people, motorcycle travel and riders who want a complete camping system in one roll.

🔥 What is the 2Wheels1Lane 2RUNNER?

2RUNNER is our complete 2-person motorcycle camping system. It combines the tent, a 2-person foam mattress, a 2-person sleeping bag, a roll-up carry bag that doubles as a ground mat, and an expandable side shelter designed to cover up to two motorcycles. It was developed specifically around motorcycle travel rather than adapted from a conventional camping tent.

📏 How big is the 2RUNNER when set up?

The sleeping area measures approximately 82.7 × 47.2 in (210 × 120 cm), with an internal height of approximately 39.4 in (100 cm).

That gives two riders enough room to sleep comfortably while also providing more usable height for sitting up, changing clothes and organising gear.

📦 What is the packed size?

Length: 30.3 in / 77 cm

Height: 13.8 in / 35 cm

Width: 14.6 in / 37 cm

Weight: 22.0 lbs / 10 kg

Packed measurements are approximate. How tightly you roll and pack the system can slightly affect the final dimensions.

⚖️ How much does the full 2RUNNER system weigh?

The complete system weighs approximately 22.0 lbs / 10 kg. That includes the tent, integrated foam mattress, 2-person sleeping bag, carry bag / ground mat and the main system components.

👫 Is it really designed for two people?

Yes. 2RUNNER was developed from the beginning as a proper 2-person motorcycle camping system. The 82.7 × 47.2 in / 210 × 120 cm sleeping area gives two people a shared sleeping space without turning the packed system into a conventional oversized camping tent.

🛏️ Do I need to carry a separate mattress?

No. A 1.2 in / 3 cm foam mattress is already part of the system. You do not need to carry a separate air mattress or sleeping pad.

😴 Is the sleeping bag included?

Yes. A 2-person sleeping bag is included as part of the complete 2RUNNER system. The idea is simple: your shelter and sleeping setup travel together in one system.

🛏️ Why do you use a foam mattress instead of an air mattress?

Foam gives consistent comfort and insulation without needing inflation. There is no risk of punctures, valve failures or waking up on the ground because an air mattress has lost pressure. It is simple, durable and always ready to use.

Foam can also help reduce condensation underneath your sleeping area compared with an air mattress. Air mattresses create a large sealed surface between your body and the cold ground, and moisture can build up underneath, especially when there is a large temperature difference between the ground and the air inside the tent.

Condensation can still happen in any tent because warm, humid air from breathing meets colder surfaces. Keeping the tent properly ventilated, avoiding wet clothing inside and choosing dry ground will always help.

🏍️ Can the 2RUNNER cover my motorcycle?

Yes. One of the main features of the 2RUNNER is its expandable side shelter. Keep it zipped away when you want a smaller campsite, or open it when you want additional covered space beside the tent.

🏍️🏍️ Can it cover two motorcycles?

Yes. The expandable motorcycle shelter was designed to provide covered space for up to two motorcycles, depending on the motorcycle size and how they are positioned.

⛺ Does the motorcycle shelter have to stay open?

No. The side extension can be zipped back when you do not need it. This lets you keep the campsite more compact when you are travelling with one bike, camping in a smaller space or simply do not need the additional covered area.

🛠️ What material is the 2RUNNER made from?

The main shelter uses TC cotton fabric, combined with a motorcycle-focused pole structure, mesh ventilation areas and extended weather-protection flaps. It was selected to create a durable and comfortable shelter for changing conditions on the road.

💨 Does the 2RUNNER have ventilation?

Yes. 2RUNNER has large mesh openings and multiple access points to help airflow through the shelter. Like every tent, some ventilation should always be maintained while sleeping, especially during cold or humid conditions.

🥶 Is the 2RUNNER a 4-season camping system?

Yes. The 2RUNNER was developed for year-round motorcycle travel and changing conditions including rain, wind, hot days and cold nights.

As with any tent, your comfort in colder temperatures also depends on your clothing, campsite, weather conditions and any additional insulation you choose to use.

As a general guideline, we recommend the standard sleeping system for temperatures around 41°F / 5°C and above. Everyone experiences cold differently. We have personally camped at 14°F / -10°C using proper cold-weather clothing and an additional army blanket for extra insulation.

This is a usage recommendation, not a certified sleeping bag temperature rating.

🦟 Does it have mosquito mesh?

Yes. Large mesh openings are integrated into the 2RUNNER to provide ventilation while helping keep insects outside when the main fabric panels are open.

🎒 What storage is available inside?

Inside the 2RUNNER you will find:

• 2 side storage pockets
• 2 upper storage pockets
• 3 internal hanging hooks

📦 What exactly is included?

The 2RUNNER system includes:

• 2-person V-shaped motorcycle tent
• 1.2 in / 3 cm foam mattress
• 2-person sleeping bag
• Roll-up carry bag that doubles as a ground mat
• Expandable shelter for up to two motorcycles
• Main setup accessories and poles

⚠️ Are the optional awning support poles included?

No. Optional awning support poles that may be visible in some product images are not included with the standard 2RUNNER system.

🏍️ Do I need two motorcycles to use it?

Not at all. The 2RUNNER works perfectly well with one motorcycle. The larger bike shelter simply gives you the flexibility to travel with a second motorcycle, use the extra space for gear, or create a larger protected area beside the tent.

🚫🏍️ Do I even need a motorcycle to use the 2RUNNER?

No. It was designed around motorcycle travel, but you can also use it for car camping, overlanding, festivals or other trips where you want a compact 2-person sleeping system.

⭐ What makes the 2RUNNER different from a normal 2-person tent?

2RUNNER is not just a tent. The mattress, sleeping bag, carry system, ground mat and motorcycle shelter have all been developed to work together as one motorcycle-ready setup.

Instead of packing a tent, sleeping pads, sleeping bags and separate motorcycle protection individually, the goal is to keep the core camping setup together in one roll.

🏕️ Why is the 2RUNNER V-shaped?

The V-shaped structure allows us to create more usable interior space and height for two people while keeping the footprint and packed system practical for motorcycle travel.

📐 Is there enough room to sit up inside?

Yes. The internal height is approximately 39.4 in / 100 cm. That gives considerably more upper-body space than a traditional low-profile motorcycle swag and makes changing clothes or organising equipment easier.

🧳 Does the transport bag do anything else?

Yes. The roll-up carry bag also doubles as a ground mat when you arrive at camp. We prefer equipment that does more than one job, especially when space on a motorcycle is limited.

🛣️ Is this meant for touring and long-distance travel?

Yes. 2RUNNER was built around motorcycle touring, road trips and multi-day travel. The focus is on combining sleeping comfort, weather protection, motorcycle shelter and practical storage without requiring riders to carry multiple separate camping systems.

⏳ Is the 2RUNNER currently available?

2RUNNER is currently available for pre-order. Shipping is scheduled to begin in mid-February 2027.
